It was important to Maddie and Tristan to include the lake in their summer engagement session. When we sat down to plan, we built in a bike ride through the woods, a stop for ice cream, and a pontoon ride at sunset. Wildfires blazed just north of Minnesota, causing a dreamy haze as the sun set on the horizon. I wanted these to feel lived in, full of heart, and so cozy; never forced or too posed. Their love was so easy to capture; you can feel it in every sideways glance and little touch.
